Fall 2026 Session

Payment due at time of registration.  Fees, Dates and Programs are subject to change. Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian while at the Mandel Recreation Center.

Spanish

Beginners: October 6 – November 24

Intermediate: October 8 – December 3 (no class November 26)

Join Ramp Linguistics’ fun and engaging class to boost your love for Spanish! Focus on improving conversational skills through interactive vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and cultural experiences. *Week 9 features an offsite cultural experience with an extra fee.

 

Beginners:

French

October 7 – November 25

Join Ramp Linguistics’ fun and engaging class to boost your French! Focus on improving conversational skills through interactive vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and cultural experiences with a native speaker.

Getting Past Hello - Conversational Spanish

October 6 – November 24

RAMP Linguistic Society offers a fun, safe space to expand your conversational skills. Each week, classes explore new topics to boost listening, speaking, and comprehension.

Ballroom Dance

October 6 – November 24

Adults of all levels are welcome to discover the joy of ballroom dance with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Certified instructors teach a variety of styles, including Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Cha-Cha, in a fun, social, and non-judgmental atmosphere. No partner needed!

Line Dance

Fridays: September 18 – October 23

Saturdays: September 19 – October 24

2Join Fair Breeze Dancing Feet for 90-minutes of fun to sharpen your brain, improve your balance, invigorate your mind, and elevate your energy level. You’ll learn popular dances, such as “Boots on the Ground,” “Jerusalema,” and Tamia’s “Can’t Get Enough,” to a diverse selection of R&B/Soul, Pop, Country Blues, Caribbean, and Afrobeats music.  All skill levels welcome.

Italian

October 5 – November 23

Laura Antonacci, a native Italian, makes learning Italian easy and fun. Laura conducts class almost entirely in the target language and focuses on the development of conversational skills. Students will become acquainted with the culture, music, and food of Italy through web-site material, practical dialogues and Italian song and games. 

 

Mondays

Beginners: 12:00 – 1:30pm

Intermediate: 10:00 – 11:30am

Regal Chess

October 8 – November 12

The Regal Chess School’s certified chess instructors will show adult beginners through advanced students how to improve their play. Weekly activities will include casual play, chess lessons, tactical training exercises, chess notation, National Rated competition games, Chess Openings, Middlegame Strategy, Winning Endgames, Bughouse, and Fischer Random Chess. Each student will receive a chess workbook. All levels are welcome!

 

Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30pm

Mah Jongg for Beginners

October 9 – November 20

Join Gillian Kennedy Wright as she introduces players to the world of Mah Jongg. At the end of this eight-week program, participants will be able to engage in a fluid game.

Canasta for Beginners

October 9 – October 30

Join Gillian Kennedy Wright to learn the standard rules, tips, tricks, and etiquette of playing Modern Canasta.

FITNESS & WELLNESS PROGRAMS

Exercise helps control your weight, reduces your risk of heart diseases, helps your body manage blood sugar and insulin levels, improves mental health and mood and helps keep your thinking, learning, and judgment skills sharp as you age. Designed to get you into tip top shape, our exercise classes, taught by certified instructors, are perfect for any fitness level or ability.

Body Conditioning with Sandee Sineni

This is an easy-to-follow, multi-level class that starts with a low-impact warmup and ends with weight exercises involving all major muscles.  The class will conclude with a series of stretches.

Stretch & Relaxation with Sandee Sineni
returning in the Fall

Influenced by dance and fitness to allow an all-over stretch, resulting in calm relaxation.

Tai Chi with Bruce Marcus- Returning in the Fall

Discover the gentle power of Tai Chi in this beginner-friendly program designed for all fitness levels. This low-impact, slow-flowing practice blends mindful movement, deep breathing, and focused awareness to help you gain more balance, flexibility, and strength. Movements can be easily modified, making the class accessible whether you’re brand new to exercise or returning after time away. Each session emphasizes smooth weight shifting, relaxed posture, and steady breathing to improve coordination and overall mobility without strain. As your body learns the movements, your mind learns to settle. The result is a practice that supports both physical stability and mental clarity. Join us in our Tai Chi program and build a solid foundation in a calm, health-enhancing exercise that can reduce stress, increase energy, and help you move through daily life with greater ease and confidence.
